About the SAIT Yearbooks Collection

About the Sait Yearbook

First published in 1928 as the "Tech-Art Record", the annual yearbook of the Provincial Institute of Technology and Art has provided a continuous visual record for students and staff at the institute for nearly a century. Like the institute itself, the yearbook has undergone numerous changes and developments since it was first issued in the 1920's, including several changes in both scope and design, as well as a number of changes to its name.  During the mid 1960's the "Tech-Art Record" was officially renamed to "On SAIT", mirroring the change in the institute's to the Southern Alberta Insitute of Technology, while in the late 1980's the title was once again changed, removing "On SAIT" from the title in favor of a title which could change from year to year. Today the SAIT yearbook continues to be produced on an annual basis by the SAIT Students' Association and remains an important record of the student experience at the institute.
